Two female undergraduate robbery suspects and their male partner in crime were battered and stripped nakked in Calabar on Friday afternoon for attempting to rob a Calabar-based businesswoman of N1. 5million Naira. See Photos Below...
ungle justice in Nigeria is a situation that needs to be addressed urgently. Almost on a daily basis, there are cases of killing and abuse of alleged thieves or criminals. In a more recent occurence, four students of the University of Portharcourt were stripped naked and beaten mercilessly by a mob after which they were burnt to death for allegedly stealing phones and laptops. The students' pleas fell on deaf ears. It was gathered after further investigation that these boys were innocent and that the alarm raised was false. Four innocent lives were wasted that day for nothing. The mob had condemned them to death without even seeking the intervention of the police or prosecution by a law court. Maybe the crowd that killed them were ignorant, or maybe not, it doesn't bring back the four innocent lives murdered in cold-blood. Imagine the emotional trauma this caused the family, friends, relatives and well-meaning Nigerians!  This is one  amongst the numerous cases of jungle-justice that happen and go unnoticed in the country.
