ROANOKE CO., Va. - A man and woman are in the hospital after a shooting in Roanoke County Tuesday evening.
WDBJ7 was the first to have a reporter on the scene of the shooting that took place in the 4800 block of Starkey Road around 6:00 p.m.
Roanoke County Police are looking for the man they believe was responsible for the shooting. He left in a vehicle and is thought to be armed with a hand gun.
The male victim is in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. We do not know the extent of the female victim's injuries at this time.
A witness on the scene told WDBJ7's David Kaplan that she is the mother of the man who was shot. She says her son was shot in the leg and hands, and that the woman who was shot was her son's girlfriend.
According to the witness, her son's girlfriend knows the person who shot them. Police have not confirmed these details at this time.
